Why restrict art to walls, when you can wear it. Add a splash of creativity to your unique spirit with an art earring handmade just for you. Each art earring is meticulously designed & crafted with select images from my original oil paintings.

The Story

Readiing Terminal Market in Center City Philadelphia, is one of the oldest and largest indoor farmer's food markets in the nation. A nationally know foodie paradise, it is home to a wide variety of fresh produce, seafood, poultry, fresh meats, home-baked pastries, Amish specialities, local Pennsylvania Dutch delicacies, and uniquely Philly hoagie and cheesesteak vendors. The blue-eyed boy in this painting is a young and knowledgable member of his family's Pennsylvania Dutch food stand's team. I loved the way he is engulfed by the colorful rainbow of glass jars, packages of popping corn, soup mixes, and all kinds of dried delicacies. The impactful blue of his shirt is matched only by the intensity of his blue eyes. I was taken not only by the cornucopia of colors represented in the painting, but how the boy and his family's food stand exemplifies the down-to-earth atmosphere of the entire market.

Quality food markets are rare these days. Located, not in the suburbs, but in the middle of our great city of Philadelphia, the Terminal Market provides a variety of fresh food and vegetables that are easily accessible to neighborhoods located throughout the city. From artisanal cheeses, to classic scrapple and pork chops, the Reading Terminal Market has food and products to meet a wide variety of tastes and budgets.

How I Make the Earrings

These wearable art earrings are created from paper images of my original oil paintings and decoupaged onto extremely lightweight laser-cut birch wood. The image appears on both sides of the earring, so, the earrings can dangle freely, and the image will always be visible.

Triple coated with matte sealer, the earrings are extremely durable and will look lovely for many years to come. They are water & sweat resistant, but please do not shower or swim with them.

Allergy-free surgical steel earring hooks make these earrings safe for your ears. Additionally, you will never lose one of these earrings, clear plastic backs are included for your convenience.

All pieces are created by hand, so no two items are identical. That's the beauty of the product! Please allow for slight variances from item to item.

I take every step to ensure the image is as accurate as possible to the original painting. However variations in color may occur due to monitor differences.

I hope you enjoy my earrings as much as I enjoy creating them!

You can special order, if out of stock, at no extra fee. Please allow 4 business days to ship.
