New Year. New Debacle. New Hopes

Christina Tarkoff

Here we are. One week into 2021. A year we all were anticipating! A year that was promising to be a relief from 2020. It is starting out shockingly worse than anyone could possibly imagine. Sadness and disappointment are drastic understatements of the appalling events that occurred on January 6. Including the complacent response by law enforcement to a cabal of white supremacists invading our nation’s Capitol.

David & Goliath

A few months ago I made a drawing of “David” from Michaelangelo’s magnificent marble sculpture. The biblical parable of David & Goliath is pretty fitting these days. Brains & agility beat the bully thug. I like that lesson on so many levels!

Let’s all hope the “Davids” of the world keep on conquering the “Goliaths.”

#30Faces30Days.

A 30-day portrait challenge.

It’s January, a new year, and once again you will be seeing lots of portraits from me this month. It’s pretty obvious I love drawing & painting the human face. So, please bear with me as I try to put all my efforts into creating portraits in PENCIL filled with mystery and wonder!

Here are a few drawings so far. All my inspirational muses are from the @sktchy app.
