I finished up Angela Davis, No. 12 in my "Women Who Shatter Barriers" series. I usually do not hand paint the "quotes" of my courageous women. For Ms. Davis, I did not feel like doing the whole collage step of the painting, so I experimented with hand painting the quote! Let me know what you think - Is the hand-painted quoted a distracting mess or does it work - I can definitely paint over the quote! That's the joy/bane of painting, the painting is never really "done!"
