The Story
The springtime light at Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia is beautiful & warm. At dusk, the light is even more distinctive with the strong warmth of the light reflecting off the surrounding buildings. This painting takes place on a Friday evening around dusk. Folks are relaxing, buskers are busking, parents are playing with their kids, dogs are getting exercise with their owners. Some folks appear to be walking home from work. The woman in the foreground of this painting is zoned into her e-reader. Folks are passing by, yet she never raises her eyes above her book. The light of dusk is glowing on her hat, the bench and the ground beneath her feet. The simple wooden bench takes on the glows of orange and red as it is bathed in the light of dusk.
How I Make the Choker Pendant Necklace
The wearable art choker pendant measures 1 inch in diameter. The pendant is created from paper images of my original oil paintings and decoupaged onto extremely lightweight laser-cut birch wood.
Triple coated with matte sealer, the choker pendants are extremely durable and will look lovely for many years to come. They are water & sweat resistant, but please do not shower or swim with them.
The pendant hangs on a 17-18 inch long leather cord necklace. The cord is 2mm diameter black leather with a silver tone clasp and 2 inch extender.
All pieces are created by hand, so no two items are identical. That's the beauty of the product! Please allow for slight variances from item to item.
I take every step to ensure the image is as accurate as possible to the original painting. However variations in color may occur due to monitor differences.
