“Mums from the Garden”
Chrysanthemums receive lots of attention in the Fall. We know the winter is approaching and all the beautiful flowers will be replaced by cold weather and falling leaves. The flowers in this painting are “miracle” flowers. I purchased potted mums from the previous autumn, left them in a pot unattended all year. Unwatered, in the cold. These beauties survived winter and hot summer in a tiny little pot! The following fall these beautiful pink mums bloomed!
