ORIGINAL PAINTING IS SOLD. CLICK HERE FOR PRINTS.
The summer of 2016 was hot, hot, hot in the streets of Philadelphia. During 2016, as every other year, the kids of Philadelphia upheld the long-standing tradition of swimming in the fountains located along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. And, to top off the beauty of the Parkway, is the Philadelphia Museum of Art as the backdrop!
During my 20's I lived and worked in the Art Museum Area, and loved to see all the kids playing in the fountains. Wanting to capture the kids of Philly enjoying some summertime fun, I ventured out to photograph the fountains on the Parkway this summer. I got lots of random shots of kid having fun.
Reference: My photo references for this painting combined my original photos with a CC0 photo from Wikipedia.
I had so much fun with this painting. The spray of the fountains, the magnificent fountain sculpture, and capturing the joy found on the streets of Philadelphia was a sheer delight for me.
I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed creating it!
The Original Painting size is 18x24 Inches. I use the highest quality artist oil paint on studio-wrapped stretched linen canvas. This painting arrives at your home ready to hang.
