The Story of “Waiting at Suburban Station.”
Suburban Station is part of Philadelphia’s Regional Rail Transit System. The Station is located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. The Regional Rail lines are widely used to transport folks from the suburbs into Center City.
One evening while waiting at “Suburban” for a train to transport us home from an evening in Center City, I noticed this dad and his kids waiting for the next train to arrive. Generally, parents traveling around with their kids have all kinds of strollers and equipment, and electronics to occupy their kids while moving around the city. This dad and his kids were waiting patiently. No fuss, no loud and frantic commands, just the kids and the dad. Waiting together. They did not seem to need any extraneous items. They simply and beautifully had each other.
I hope you can sense the beauty and simplicity of this tableaux. I had to paint it. I had to share it. Please enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it. Lt me know!
I take every step to ensure this online image is as accurate as possible to the original painting. However variations in color may occur due to monitor differences.
