Once again, the Sktchy app has provided me with an inspiring portrait.

I was struck by the tough, yet soulful countenance of this gentleman’s facial expression. My reference is an old faded black and white photo posted on the Sktchy app by this gentleman's granddaughter as she reminisces about her first trip back to the family’s ranch after his passing. - I hope I did his portrait justice. The background texture is due to the piece of corrugated cardboard I have been using as a drawing board.

I love this portrait, I hope you do too. It was a challenge that I enjoyed!
