Dilworth Splash No.2
Joy for Uncertain Times
I really needed to make a joyful, uplifting painting in the Spring of 2020. The world is in chaos as hundreds of thousands are infected and dying with the COVID-19 virus. I was planning Dilworth Splash #2 for a while, but I could not seem to work out the composition. Well, I guess a pandemic is an incentive to get this painting going! I hope you find as much joy in looking at this painting as I found joy making it.
This painting was on loan to the National Liberty Museum, 321 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia PA for the Philadelphia’s Freedom Show.
As always, I hope you can escape your daily life for a few moments while looking at my art. I hope my paintings communicate the most important art of all — the art of being human.
