Series - “From Your Kitchen”

I am making small paintings of ordinary objects. The first set of “From your Kitchen” is a series of fruits and vegetables. I am not sure where it will end but the series now includes Bananas!

I never looked at a banana so closely. Or realized its complexity! The edible part of the banana has all these horizontal and vertical “lines” that I never noticed. And I never realized how “gauzy” the fruit is. For some reason, the banana “peel” usually gets all the attention. The edible part of the fruit is the star of this painting, as well as the INSIDE of the peel.

I hope you see the beauty and complexity of this simple banana!
